Taiwan Butter Tariffs Halved

Tue 26.08.08 In a continuing climate of inflationary pressure the Taiwanese administration has taken another step to unilaterally lower tariffs on selected food imports. On 21 August a decision was taken to reduce tariffs on butter and anhydrous milk fat, sesame seed, and tomato paste by 50% for a period of 6 months from August 19 to February 18, 2009.
